What are veneers?

Veneers are thin shells of porcelain that fit over your existing teeth. They are commonly used to conceal staining, gaps, alignment problems and chipped teeth. Veneers are also ideal for hiding discolouration. In addition, modern techniques mean that the underlying teeth require minimal preparation, preserving the natural tooth structure as much as possible.

What can veneers help to fix?

Veneers will conceal any imperfections and can be matched to your existing tooth colour or created in a lighter shade to give the appearance of whiter teeth. How long does a veneer restoration take?

This treatment requires at least two visits. During the first visit, your teeth will be prepared to make room for the porcelain shells. Your dentist will then take impressions or digital scans to give the laboratory the information they need to construct the restoration. After two weeks, you will return to the Dental Practice to have your veneers fitted, where they are fixed in place with special dental cement, ensuring a long-lasting and effective restoration.
